How PATH is making a difference
PATH develops and accelerates lifesaving health technologies with global impact. From designing a new diaphragm for women to strengthening markets for safe water devices, we identify, adapt, develop, and deliver technologies with the potential to achieve unprecedented wins for health.
PATH is at the forefront of a technology revolution in diagnostics, inventing and supporting the development of point-of-care tests that help patients get fast results and the right treatment. We develop and introduce fast, accurate diagnostic technologies to detect and track a range of diseases, including cervical cancer, diabetes, HIV, malaria, neglected tropical diseases, polio, tuberculosis, and more.
For a number of diseases, PATH has seen the need and opportunity to bridge this gap—breaking down price and technology barriers to make effective, affordable vaccines, then working with health officials to clear regulatory hurdles and mobilizing partners to make them widely available. We have reached billions of people worldwide with lifesaving vaccines and immunization technologies.
